FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR SOUTH FLORIDA
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE MIAMI FL
401 AM EDT MON MAY 2 2016

.DISCUSSION...SHOWER AND THUNDERSTORM CHANCES WILL INCREASE THROUGH
MID WEEK AS HIGH PRESSURE OVER THE REGION WEAKENS AND A FRONTAL
BOUNDARY APPROACHES. SHOWERS AND STORMS WILL GENERALLY BE OVER THE
WESTERN INTERIOR LATER THIS AFTERNOON AS BOTH THE EAST COAST AND
GULF BREEZES MOVE INLAND AND COLLISION. PREVAILING FLOW VEERS
SOUTHWESTERLY ON TUESDAY, BRINGING A BETTER THREAT FOR STORMS TO THE
EAST COAST. STRONGER TRANSPORT WINDS WILL ALSO LEAD TO VERY GOOD
TO EXCELLENT DISPERSIONS. NUMEROUS SHOWERS AND STORMS ARE
EXPECTED ON WEDNESDAY AS THE FRONTAL BOUNDARY MOVES THROUGH THE
AREA. VERY DRY NORTHWESTERLY FLOW IS EXPECTED BEHIND THE FRONT
LATE WEEK.

WIDESPREAD FOG DEVELOPMENT IS NOT EXPECTED AT THIS TIME.
