FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR WEST VIRGINIA
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE CHARLESTON WV
741 PM EDT SUN SEP 21 2014

.DISCUSSION...
JUST BEFORE SUNSET...A STRONG COLD FRONT WAS PUSHING THROUGH THE
WESTERN LOWLANDS OF WEST VIRGINIA TOWARD THE MOUNTAINOUS COUNTIES.
OUT AHEAD OF THIS FRONT...BRIEF SHOWERS AND STORMS ARE OCCURRING
EARLY THIS EVENING. MEANWHILE...IN THE WAKE OF THE FRONT...DRIER AIR
WAS BLOWING THROUGH SOUTHEAST OHIO AND NORTHEAST KENTUCKY ON GUSTY
WINDS.

THE DRIER AIR WILL CONTINUE TO MARCH EAST OVERNIGHT. IN THE COOLER
AIR...SOME LINGERING LOW LEVEL MOISTURE COULD KEEP PLENTY OF CLOUDS
AROUND ON MONDAY OVER WEST VIRGINIA...WITH MORE SUNSHINE IN OHIO AND
KENTUCKY. TEMPERATURES WILL NOT GET OUT OF THE 60S ON MONDAY.

HIGH PRESSURE WILL BRING DRY WEATHER FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE WORK
WEEK AND INTO THE WEEKEND...WITH WARM AFTERNOONS AND COOL NIGHTS AND
EARLY MORNINGS.
