Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Southwest Arkansas...
Northwest Louisiana...East Texas...and Extreme Southeast Oklahoma
National Weather Service Shreveport LA
409 PM CDT Mon Aug 21 2017

.DISCUSSION...
Not as much convection around this afternoon as yesterday, and
slightly cooler with clouds and a slight cooling as a result of
the eclipse around mid day. Area was under the influence of
an elongated ridge of high pressure aloft with an upper level
low pressure system in the central Gulf and an inverted trough
moving slowly west across the central Gulf Coast States under
the ridge. Another day similar to today expected on Tuesday
with highs in the middle nineties and lower relative humidities
in the upper forties and lower fifties with low chances for
rain. An upper level trough of low pressure dropping across the
eastern sections of the country will nudge a cold front
toward the fire districts Tuesday night and into the area on
Wednesday increasing the rain chances and providing a cool down
for the rest of the work week and into the weekend.
