...DISCUSSION FROM RNOFWFVEF...

MUCH OF THE AREA WILL HAVE GUSTY NORTH WINDS AND LOW HUMIDITY TODAY
WITH NEAR CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS AT TIMES. TEMPERATURES
WILL BE NOTICEABLY COOLER TODAY. NORTHWEST FLOW ALOFT WILL REMAIN
OVER THE AREA WEDNESDAY. A DISTURBANCE MOVING ACROSS NORTHERN NEVADA
WILL BRING A CHANCE OF SHOWERS TO MAINLY LINCOLN COUNTY WHILE ALSO
KICKING UP NORTHWEST WINDS AGAIN OVER ESMERALDA, CENTRAL NYE AND
LINCOLN COUNTIES. A DRY NORTHWEST FLOW WILL BE OVER THE AREA
THURSDAY WITH AREAS OF BREEZY NORTHWEST SURFACE WINDS.

...DISCUSSION FROM LAXFWFSGX...

HIGH PRESSURE ALOFT WELL OFF THE SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA COAST WILL
BRING SLOW WARMING THROUGH THURSDAY...WEAKER WINDS IN THE MOUNTAINS
AND DESERTS...WITH THE MARINE LAYER BECOMING SHALLOWER. A LOW
PRESSURE SYSTEM MOVING THROUGH THE GREAT BASIN WILL BRING COOLING
FOR FRIDAY AND SATURDAY WITH GUSTY NORTH TO NORTHWEST WINDS FOR
INLAND AREAS. WARMING WITH WEAKER WINDS FOR SUNDAY AND MONDAY WITH
HIGH PRESSURE ALOFT OFF THE CALIFORNIA COAST.

...DISCUSSION FROM PHXFWFPSR...

A FAST MOVING BUT DRY WEATHER SYSTEM WILL BRING COOLER HIGH
TEMPERATURES TO THE AREA AREA TODAY ALONG WITH BREEZY TO WINDY
CONDITIONS, ESPECIALLY OVER SOUTH-CENTRAL ARIZONA. PEAK WESTERLY
GUSTS IN EXCESS OF 40 MPH ARE LIKELY DURING THE AFTERNOON HOURS
TODAY. MUCH LESS WIND IS EXPECTED ON WEDNESDAY ALONG WITH WARMER
TEMPERATURES OUT WEST. IT WILL BE DRY BOTH DAYS WITH MINIMUM RH
VALUES FROM 10 TO 15 PERCENT OVER THE LOWER DESERTS TODAY THEN
FALLING INTO THE SINGLE DIGITS TOMORROW. THE COMBINATION OF STRONG
WIND AND LOW HUMIDITY WILL RESULT IN CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER
THRESHOLDS BEING REACHED OVER THE LOWER ARIZONA DESERT THIS
AFTERNOON.
