...DISCUSSION FROM RNOFWFVEF...

FOR THE UPCOMING WEEK, DRY WEATHER CAN BE EXPECTED FOR THE MOJAVE
DESERT WITH TEMPERATURES PEAKING WELL ABOVE NORMAL TUESDAY AND
WEDNESDAY BEFORE DROPPING ABOUT TEN DEGREES BY FRIDAY. A WEAK
DISTURBANCE WILL PRODUCE SLIGHT CHANCES FOR AFTERNOON AND EVENING
THUNDERSTORMS ACROSS THE SOUTHERN SIERRA AND SOUTHERN GREAT BASIN
WEDNESDAY ALONG WITH GUSTY SOUTHWEST TO WEST WINDS FOR MUCH OF THE
REGION.

...DISCUSSION FROM LAXFWFSGX...

HIGH PRESSURE ALOFT WILL CONTINUE THE SLOW WARMING TREND FOR INLAND
AREAS THROUGH TUESDAY. FOR COASTAL AND VALLEY AREAS...WEAK ONSHORE
FLOW WILL BRING SLOW DEEPENING OF THE MARINE LAYER WITH SLOW
COOLING SPREADING INLAND. COOLING WILL SPREAD FARTHER INLAND ON
WEDNESDAY AS HIGH PRESSURE ALOFT BEGINS TO WEAKEN. FOR THURSDAY AND
FRIDAY...A TROUGH OF LOW PRESSURE WILL BRING STRONGER ONSHORE FLOW
WITH STRONG GUSTY WEST WINDS IN THE MOUNTAINS AND DESERTS. COOLING
WILL TAKE HIGH TEMPERATURES TO AROUND 10 DEGREES BELOW AVERAGE FOR
FRIDAY. THE MARINE LAYER WILL DEEPEN INTO THE INLAND VALLEYS ON
THURSDAY AND ONTO THE COASTAL MOUNTAIN SLOPES WITH A FEW LIGHT
SHOWERS POSSIBLE FROM THE COAST TO THE COASTAL SLOPES LATE THURSDAY
NIGHT INTO FRIDAY MORNING. HIGH PRESSURE ALOFT WILL BRING AN INLAND
WARMING TREND FOR THE HOLIDAY WEEKEND WITH THE MARINE LAYER KEEPING
COASTAL AND VALLEY HUMIDITIES HIGHER WITH NEAR SEASONAL
TEMPERATURES.

...DISCUSSION FROM PHXFWFPSR...

HIGH PRESSURE WILL REMAIN IN CONTROL BRINGING AFTERNOON
TEMPERATURES ABOUT 10 DEGREES ABOVE NORMAL. WINDS WILL BE RELATIVELY
LIGHT FOR BOTH MONDAY AND TUESDAY WITH AFTERNOON WEST WINDS RANGING
FROM 5 TO 15 MPH. RH MINIMUMS WILL FALL INTO THE SINGLE DIGITS FOR
THE LOWER DESERTS EACH AFTERNOON WHILE OVERNIGHT RECOVERIES WILL
RANGE FROM 20 TO 35%.
