...DISCUSSION FROM RNOFWFVEF...

A WINDY AND DRY DAY IS EXPECTED ACROSS THE AREA TODAY, WITH CRITICAL
FIRE CONDITIONS IN THE WIND PRONE AREAS OF THE COLORADO RIVER
VALLEY. WINDS WILL DIMINISH OVERNIGHT, AND LIGHTER WINDS WILL SET UP
FOR FRIDAY BEFORE ANOTHER SYSTEM MOVES THROUGH ON SATURDAY AND
BRINGS ANOTHER ROUND OF BREEZY CONDITIONS.

...DISCUSSION FROM LAXFWFSGX...

STRONG AND GUSTY EAST TO NORTHEAST WINDS OF 20 TO 35 MPH WITH GUSTS
OF 50 TO 60 MPH AND LOCALLY UP TO 70 MPH WILL DEVELOP THIS MORNING
AND CONTINUE IN SOME AREAS THROUGH FRIDAY MORNING. THE WIND,
COMBINED WITH RELATIVE HUMIDITY IN THE SINGLE DIGITS, WILL CREATE
CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS THROUGH AND BELOW PASSES AND
CANYONS, AND ALONG THE COASTAL MOUNTAIN SLOPES AND FOOTHILLS.
HUMIDITY RECOVERY WILL BE VERY POOR WHERE WINDS STAY UP OVERNIGHT.
WINDS WILL RELAX ON FRIDAY, BUT CRITICALLY LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY
WILL CONTINUE. A BRIEF PERIOD OF ONSHORE WINDS AND HIGHER HUMIDITY
WILL OCCUR LATE FRIDAY THROUGH SATURDAY AFTERNOON BEFORE WINDS TURN
BACK OFFSHORE SUNDAY INTO EARLY MONDAY, WITH ANOTHER PERIOD OF
CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS POSSIBLE.

...DISCUSSION FROM PHXFWFPSR...

POTENT, BUT DRY, WEATHER SYSTEM WILL BRUSH THROUGH THE REGION TODAY
GENERATING STRONG GUSTY NORTH WINDS FOR SOUTHEAST CA AND THE LOWER
CO RIVER VALLEY. RED FLAG CONDITIONS ARE FORECAST ALONG AND WEST OF
THE CO RIVER. BREEZY CONDITIONS WILL ALSO BE OBSERVED ACROSS
SOUTH-CENTRAL AZ, ESPECIALLY FOR AREA RIDGETOPS AND GAPS. DAYTIME
HUMIDITIES WILL FALL 9-15 PERCENT FOR THE LOWER ELEVATIONS AND NEAR
20 PERCENT FOR THE EASTERN AZ HIGHER TERRAIN. WINDS WILL BEGIN TO
RELAX INTO THE EVENING HOWEVER REMAIN BREEZY OVER AREA RIDGETOPS
OVERNIGHT.
