...DISCUSSION FROM RNOFWFVEF...

A COLD FRONT WILL MOVE THROUGH THE AREA OVERNIGHT BRINGING GUSTY
SOUTHWEST TO WEST WINDS AHEAD OF THE FRONT AND THEN GUSTY NORTH
WINDS BEHIND THE FRONT. WINDS WILL DIMINISH OVER MOST AREAS
SATURDAY WITH THE EXCEPTION OF THE COLORADO RIVER VALLEY WHERE GUSTY
NORTH WINDS WILL REMAIN. THESE GUSTY WINDS COMBINED WITH LOW
RELATIVE HUMIDITY AND CRITICAL FUEL LEVELS HAVE LEAD TO THE
ISSUANCE OF A RED FLAG WARNING FOR THE COLORADO RIVER VALLEY. HIGH
PRESSURE WILL THEN BUILD OVER THE AREA SUNDAY LEADING TO DRIER AND
WARMER CONDITIONS THROUGH THE UPCOMING WEEK.

...DISCUSSION FROM LAXFWFSGX...

A TROUGH OF LOW PRESSURE WILL MOVE THROUGH THE WEST COAST TODAY
BRINGING COOLING AND POSSIBLE LIGHT PRECIP ALONG AND WEST OF THE
MOUNTAINS. A SANTA ANA EVENT WILL DEVELOP SATURDAY AND CONTINUE
EARLY NEXT WEEK, BRINGING HOT AND VERY DRY WEATHER ALONG WITH
OCCASIONAL GUSTY WINDS, ESPECIALLY THROUGH AND BELOW PASSES AND
CANYONS. LOCAL GUSTS COULD EXCEED 50 MPH, MAINLY SUNDAY MORNING AND
AGAIN TUESDAY MORNING. MINIMUM HUMIDITY OF 10 PERCENT WILL OCCUR
SATURDAY AND SUNDAY OVER INLAND AREAS, AND 5 TO 10 PERCENT MONDAY
AND TUESDAY OVER MOST AREAS, RESULTING IN CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER
CONDITIONS. A SLOW COOLING TREND WILL OCCUR WEDNESDAY AND THURSDAY
OF NEXT WEEK.

...DISCUSSION FROM PHXFWFPSR...

BREEZY TO WINDY CONDITIONS, MOSTLY NOTABLY OVER SOUTHEAST
CALIFORNIA, WILL WEAKEN TONIGHT. MOST ARIZONA LOCATIONS WILL HAVE
HIGHER RH VALUES TONIGHT BEFORE TRENDING DOWN SHARPLY SATURDAY. FOR
SOUTHEAST CALIFORNIA AND FAR SOUTHWEST ARIZONA, THE DRYING TREND
BEGINS TONIGHT. THERE WILL BE SOME NORTHERLY BREEZINESS IN THAT
SAME AREA SATURDAY AND LIGHT WINDS AT MOST OTHER LOCALES. SUNDAY
WILL SEE SOME MINOR BREEZINESS ACROSS THE FORECAST AREA. HIGH
TEMPERATURES WILL BE SLIGHTLY COOLER SATURDAY BEFORE BEGINNING TO
CLIMB AGAIN ON SUNDAY.
