...FLOOD POTENTIAL...

THE FLOOD POTENTIAL IS LOW FOR THE ENTIRE STATE THROUGH THE WEEKEND.

...HYDROMETEOROLOGICAL DISCUSSION....

THE GENERAL UPPER LEVEL PATTERN OF A RIDGE OVER THE BERING AND LOWS
IN/NEAR THE GULF AND NEAR KAMCHATKA WILL HOLD INTO NEXT WEEK.  THIS
WILL LEAD TO GENERALLY DRY CONDITIONS OVER THE MAINLAND WITH
PRECIPITATION OVER SOUTHEAST ALASKA AND THE NORTH GULF COASTAL
REGION.

...SNOW...

REPORTED LOW-MID ELEVATION SNOW DEPTHS ARE GENERALLY 60 INCHES OR
LESS ACROSS THE MAINLAND.  OVER THE LAST 7 DAYS SNOW DEPTHS HAVE
GENERALLY REMAINED ABOUT THE SAME OR DECREASED SLIGHTLY OVER THE
MAINLAND... WHILE SNOW DEPTHS HAVE GENERALLY INCREASED OVER NORTHERN
SOUTHEAST ALASKA BY 1-2 FEET.

ICE THICKNESS MEASUREMENTS FOR THE START OF MARCH INCLUDE: 26 INCHES
IN ANCHORAGE... 31 INCHES IN THE LOWER MATSU VALLEY... 44 INCHES AT
BETHEL... 38 TO 40 INCHES IN THE MIDDLE KUSKOKWIM RIVER... 48 INCHES
AT GALENA AND AT EAGLE... 9 TO 36 INCHES IN THE FAIRBANKS AREA...
AND 44 INCHES AT COLVILLE VILLAGE.

...LONG RANGE...

THE 6 TO 10 DAY TEMPERATURE OUTLOOK HAS INCREASED PROBABILITIES OF
BELOW NORMAL TEMPERATURES OVER SOUTHCENTRAL... THE SOUTHEAST
MAINLAND... THE CENTRAL AND EASTERN INTERIOR... AND SOUTHEAST ALASKA.

THE 6 TO 10 DAY PRECIPITATION OUTLOOK HAS INCREASED PROBABILITIES OF
BELOW NORMAL PRECIPITATION OVER THE ENTIRE STATE.
