...FLOOD POTENTIAL...

THE FLOOD POTENTIAL IS LOW FOR THE ENTIRE STATE.

...HYDROMETEOROLOGICAL DISCUSSION....

THE 500 HPA PATTERN TODAY HAS A RIDGE FROM WESTERN CANADA INTO
MAINLAND ALASKA... WITH WEAKENING LOWS OVER THE SOUTHEAST BERING AND
NEAR CROSS SOUND IN SOUTHEAST ALASKA.  OVER THE NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS
THE BERING LOW WILL OPEN INTO A TROUGH WHICH WILL SWING INTO THE
GULF AND THE LOW NEAR CROSS SOUND WILL SLOWLY MOVE EAST INTO CANADA.
THE SHOWERY REGIME OVER SOUTHEAST AND THE SOUTHERN MAINLAND WILL
CONTINUE INTO SATURDAY.

THE 6 TO 10 DAY TEMPERATURE OUTLOOK HAS INCREASED PROBABILITIES OF
ABOVE NORMAL TEMPERATURES OVER MOST OF THE MAINLAND.  EXCEPTIONS
INCLUDE THE CENTRAL AND EASTERN NORTH SLOPE AND PORTIONS OF THE
EASTERN MAINLAND... AS WELL AS SOUTHEAST ALASKA... WHERE NEAR NORMAL
TEMPERATURES ARE LIKELY.

THE 6 TO 10 DAY PRECIPITATION OUTLOOK HAS INCREASED PROBABILITIES OF
BELOW NORMAL PRECIPITATION FROM THE YUKON DELTA NORTH TO THE POINT
HOPE REGION AND EAST ALONG AND SOUTH OF THE BROOKS RANGE.  THERE ARE
INCREASED PROBABILITIES OF ABOVE NORMAL PRECIPITATION FROM THE KENAI
PENINSULA... ACROSS MUCH OF THE SOUTHEAST MAINLAND... AND OVER
SOUTHEAST ALASKA.
