RAIN AND HIGHER ELEVATION SNOW SHOWERS WILL CONTINUE TO DEVELOP
THROUGH THE LATE MORNING OVER PORTIONS OF WESTERN NEW MEXICO.
SNOW LEVELS ARE EXPECTED TO HOVER BETWEEN 6500 AND 7500 FEET WITH A
FEW HUNDREDTHS OF AN INCH OF RAIN FALLING BELOW AND POTENTIALLY
ANOTHER INCH OF FRESH SNOW AT HIGHER ELEVATIONS. VISIBILITIES MAY
TEMPORARILY REDUCE TO 2 MILES IN ANY PASSING SHOWERS...AND SOME
SLICK SPOTS MAY DEVELOP ON HIGHER TERRAIN ROADS. IN ADDITION...STRONG
NORTHWEST WINDS WILL PREVAIL WITH SOME GUSTS REACHING 45 TO 50
MPH. THIS WILL CREATE SOME BLOWING SNOW IN THE HIGHER ELEVATIONS.

RAIN AND HIGHER ELEVATION SNOW SHOWERS WILL CONTINUE TO DEVELOP

PASSING SHOWERS...AND SOME SLICK SPOTS MAY DEVELOP ON HIGHER TERRAIN
ROADS. AREAS THAT ARE EXPECTED TO SEE THE GREATEST IMPACTS FROM SNOW
WILL INCLUDE NEW MEXICO HIGHWAY 518 BETWEEN PENASCO AND HOLMAN...AS
WELL AS HIGHWAY 38 BETWEEN QUESTA AND EAGLE NEST AND U.S. 64 BETWEEN
EAGLE NEST AND TAOS. IN ADDITION...STRONG NORTHWEST WINDS WILL
PREVAIL WITH SOME GUSTS REACHING 45 TO 60 MPH. THIS WILL CREATE SOME
BLOWING SNOW IN THE HIGHER ELEVATIONS AND STRONG CROSS WINDS ON
SOUTHWEST TO NORTHEAST ORIENTED ROADS.
