.NOW...
AT 615 AM MDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR CONTINUES
TO SHOW WIDESPREAD AND NUMEROUS SHOWERS TRACKING FROM WEST TO EAST
ACROSS MOST OF SOUTHWEST AND SOUTH CENTRAL NEW MEXICO. LESSER
SHOWERS WERE TRACKING EAST ACROSS FAR WEST TEXAS. ALL OF THIS IS
DUE TO THE APPROACH OF THE REMNANTS OF ODILE WHICH IS TRACKING IN
FROM THE WEST. THIS BROAD AREA OF MODERATE TO HEAVY RAIN WILL
CONTINUE THROUGH THE MORNING AND THROUGH THE AFTERNOON TODAY. MANY
LOCATIONS HAVE RECEIVED AN INCH OR MORE AND THE GROUND IS
SATURATED. THIS MEANS THAT FLASH FLOODING POTENTIAL IS ELEVATED
AND WILL LIKELY OCCUR ACROSS THE REGION. OF PARTICULAR CONCERN IS
LOW-LYING AND FLOOD PRONE AREAS AS WELL AS LOW WATER CROSSINGS.
PERSONS ACROSS SOUTHERN NEW MEXICO ARE URGED TO STAY ABREAST OF
THE CURRENT WEATHER CONDITIONS AND TAKE NECESSARY ACTIONS TO AVOID
FLOOD WATERS. TURN AROUND DON`T DROWN.
