...WIND ADVISORY WILL EXPIRE AT 9 PM CST THIS EVENING...

Winds in the wake of an earlier strong cold front passage, and
line of showers and thunderstorms have diminished below advisory
criteria. Therefore, the wind advisory that was in effect for
Lauderdale, Colbert, Franklin Alabama, Lawrence, Limestone,
Morgan, Cullman, and Lincoln counties will be allowed to expire at
9 PM CST.

...WIND ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL MIDNIGHT CST TONIGHT...

* TIMING AND AREAS AFFECTED...The northern Alabama counties of
  Madison, Jackson, Marshall, DeKalb, and Jackson, and the
  counties of Moore and Franklin in southern middle Tennessee,
  through midnight CST this evening.

* WINDS...Sustained west to northwest winds of 20 to 30 mph, with
  gusts above 35 mph (especially in the more exposed higher
  terrain) will continue the remainder of the evening. Winds are
  forecast to fall below advisory criteria after midnight CST.

* IMPACTS...Winds of this magnitude will be capable of producing
  minor tree and powerline damage, as well as dispersing light
  weight outdoor objects.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Wind Advisory means that sustained wind speeds of at least
25 mph, or gusts of at least 35 mph, are expected across the
affected area. Winds this strong can make driving difficult,
especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution. In
addition, ensure all loose outdoor objects remain secure,
including patio furniture and trash cans.
