DAILY RIVER AND LAKE SUMMARY
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE COLUMBIA SC
1147 AM EDT SUN MAY 1 2016

...River forecast points were well below flood stage this morning...

Recurring showers and thunderstorms have moved northeast over
portions of the SC Piedmont since late last evening. Based on both
reports and radar estimates...accumulated rainfall as of early this
morning was in the one to four inch range. This will provide strong
runoff into portions of the Wateree and Broad River basins during
the next few days. Additional rainfall this afternoon will provide
good runoff into the Pee Dee basin as well.

Less shower activity is expected tonight through the daytime Monday
with atmospheric energy lacking. However...atmospheric moisture will
remain high into Tuesday...with a southerly airflow pesisting ahead
of a slowly approaching cold front. This will keep unsettled
conditions across the area for the next several days.

Minor stage fluctuations or rises are expected through Tuesday...
with special emphasis on the Wateree and Pee Dee River basins.
