A SURFACE TROUGH EXTENDS FROM 1N149E TO 5N149E. THE TROUGH COMBINED
WITH TRADE-WIND CONVERGENCE IS PRODUCING SCATTERED SHOWERS AND ISOLATED
THUNDERSTORMS SOUTH OF AND OVER CHUUK BETWEEN EQUATOR 5N FROM
149E TO 155E AND BETWEEN 5N AND 8N FROM 143E TO 155E.

ANOTHER AREA OF TRADE-WIND CONVERGENCE IS GENERATING SCATTERED
SHOWERS AND ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS ACROSS POHNPEI AND KOSRAE
BETWEEN 3N AND 7N FROM 155E TO 165E. THE SAME CONVERGENCE IS
PRODUCING A BAND OF SCATTERED SHOWERS OVER MAJURO BETWEEN 4N AND
7N FROM 165E TO 178E.

A NEAR-EQUATORIAL TROUGH STRETCHES FROM 2N130E TO EQ141E AND IS
ASSOCIATED WITH SCATTERED SHOWERS AND ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS
SOUTH OF PALAU BETWEEN THE EQUATOR AND 3N FROM 130E TO 141E AND
BETWEEN 5N AND 7N FROM 135E TO 139E.

A COLD FRONT EXTENDS FROM 25N146E TO 20N140E AND CONTINUES AS A
SHEAR LINE TO 14N130E. CLOUDINESS AND RAIN ARE SEEN ALONG AND UP
TO 200 MILES NORTHWEST OF THIS BOUNDARY FAR TO THE NORTHWEST OF
THE MARIANAS.
