MOUNTRAIL COUNTIES UNTIL 1215 PM CDT/1115 AM MDT/...

At 1115 AM CDT/1015 AM MDT/, Doppler radar was tracking strong
thunderstorms along a line extending from 9 miles northeast of St.
John to 6 miles west of Sawyer to 5 miles north of Killdeer. Movement
was north at 40 mph.

Nickel size hail and wind gusts to 40 mph will be possible with these
storms.

Locations impacted include...
Minot, Bottineau, Stanley, Mohall, Killdeer, Bowbells, Minot Air
Force Base, New Town, Kenmare, Burlington, Surrey, Parshall,
Dunseith, Berthold, Westhope, Glenburn, Sawyer, St. John, Powers Lake
and Lansford.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek shelter
inside a building or vehicle.
