...SEVERE WEATHER THREAT THIS AFTERNOON AND EARLY EVENING...

Thunderstorms developing across the Ohio Valley will rapidly
intensify as they move into Western and Central New York early this
afternoon. This will be followed by another line of storms late
this afternoon and early evening.

Some of these storms may become severe with damaging winds in
excess of 60 mph. Be prepared to take action by taking shelter in
a substantial building.

Thunderstorms may also produce torrential rains, with water
quickly ponding on roads and low-lying areas.
