SOUTHERN KNOX...BLOUNT...NORTHEASTERN MONROE AND ROANE COUNTIES UNTIL
345 PM EDT...

At 259 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Kingston, moving southeast at 30 mph.

Half inch hail and winds in excess of 40 mph will be possible with
this storm.

Locations impacted include...
Knoxville, Oak Ridge, Maryville, Lenoir City, Alcoa, Kingston,
Loudon, Farragut, Fairview, Oliver Springs, Louisville, Rockford,
Eagleton Village, Midtown, Harriman, Vonore, Greenback, Friendsville,
Philadelphia and McGee Carson Peninsula.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm, and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
