...TROPICAL DISTURBANCE NOW WEST OF GUAM...

A DEVELOPING TROPICAL DISTURBANCE REMAINS THE SUBJECT OF A
TROPICAL CYCLONE FORMATION ALERT ISSUED AT 400 PM WEDNESDAY BY THE
JOINT TYPHOON WARNING CENTER. THE DISTURBANCE WAS LOCATED BY
SATELLITE NEAR 14N140E OR ABOUT 335 MILES WEST OF GUAM AND 405
MILES WEST-SOUTHWEST OF SAIPAN. IT IS POSSIBLE THAT IT WILL
DEVELOP INTO A TROPICAL DEPRESSION THIS AFTERNOON OR TONIGHT.

THE DISTURBANCE IS MOVING WEST-NORTHWESTWARD AND WILL CONTINUE TO
DO SO. MOST OF THE WINDS AND SHOWERS HAVE PULLED OFF TO THE WEST
OF THE MARIANAS NOW. THE REMAINDER ARE EXPECTED TO LEAVE TONIGHT.
WINDS WILL BE AROUND 15 TO 25 MPH. THESE LOWER WINDS AND SHOWERS
WILL NOT SIGNIFICANTLY INTERFERE WITH OUTDOOR OR MARINE
ACTIVITIES.
