...SIGNIFICANT WEATHER ADVISORY FOR GILA...MARICOPA AND PINAL
COUNTIES UNTIL 500 PM MST...

At 354 PM MST, Doppler radar was tracking an area strong
thunderstorms along a line extending from Goldfield Ranch to 10
miles north of Superior. Movement was northeast at 30 mph.

Winds in excess of 40 mph and moth ball size hail will be possible
with these storms.

Locations impacted include...
Round Valley, Sugarloaf Mountain, Ballantine Trailhead, Sunflower,
Roosevelt, Punkin Center, Roosevelt Dam and Lake area, Saguaro Lake,
Canyon Lake, Tonto Basin, Tonto National Monument, Goldfield Ranch,
Four Peaks, Apache Lake, Salt River Tubing Recreation Area,
and Tortilla Flat.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

These storms may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
