AREA SYNOPSIS
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DODGE CITY KS
1045 AM CDT THU MAY 28 2015

AN UPPER LEVEL TROUGH WILL APPROACH THE CENTRAL PLAINS THROUGH THE
AFTERNOON.  SURFACE LOW PRESSURE IN SOUTHEAST COLORADO WILL MOVE INTO
WESTERN KANSAS AND WILL SIGNIFICANTLY STRENGTHEN THROUGHOUT THE DAY.

THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF
CENTRAL...SOUTH CENTRAL...SOUTHWEST AND WEST CENTRAL KANSAS.

SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED THIS MORNING ACROSS CENTRAL AND
SOUTH CENTRAL KANSAS. ADDITIONAL THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED THIS
AFTERNOON WITH A FEW OF THESE STORMS BECOMING SEVERE. HAIL UP TO THE
SIZE OF GOLFBALLS AND WINDS ABOVE 60 MPH WILL BE THE MAIN CONCERN.
AN ISOLATED TORNADO WILL ALSO BE POSSIBLE. FLOODING WILL ALSO BE A
CONCERN IF HEAVY SHOWERS TRAIN OVER THE SAME LOCATION FOR AN
EXTENDED AMOUNT OF TIME. THUNDERSTORM CHANCES THEN END FROM WEST TO
EAST TONIGHT.

SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS ARE POSSIBLE ONCE AGAIN ON FRIDAY. A FEW OF
THESE STORMS WILL BE CAPABLE OF PRODUCING SMALL HAIL AND WINDS ABOVE
40 MPH.
