URGENT - WINTER WEATHER MESSAGE

...SNOW WILL GRADUALLY DIMINISH OVERNIGHT...

.Snow will gradually diminish across northwestern Wisconsin
overnight, lingering the longest in the Gogebic Range area. Gusty
north to northwest winds will also produce areas of blowing and
drifting snow, with visibilities less than a mile at times.

...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IS CANCELLED...

The National Weather Service in Duluth has cancelled the Winter
Weather Advisory.

Snow will gradually decrease as the night wears on, with little
additional snow accumulation expected. As a result, the winter
weather advisory has been cancelled.

...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 AM CST
SATURDAY...

* TIMING...Snow is expected to continue this evening before
  diminishing overnight and early Saturday morning.

* LOCATIONS...The highest snowfall amounts are expected over the
  higher terrain of Iron county, with lower amounts to the south.

* ADDITIONAL SNOW ACCUMULATIONS...1 to 3 inches. Total snowfall is
  expected to be in the 6 to 9 inch range, especially along the
  Gogebic Range.

* WINDS...North 15 to 20 mph with gusts up to 25 mph.

* VISIBILITIES...Less than one half mile in the heavier snow.

* IMPACTS...The heavy snow will create snow covered roads and
  produce scattered power outages.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Winter Storm Warning for heavy snow means significant snow
accumulation is anticipated and snowfall rates of one inch per
hour or greater can be expected at times. Expect snow covered
roads and visibility less than one-half mile. If you must travel,
exercise extreme caution and allow extra time to reach your
destination.

  on.

* LOCATIONS...Ashland and Price counties.

* ADDITIONAL SNOW ACCUMULATIONS...1 to 2 inches. Total snowfall
  should generally be in the 4 to 7 inch range, but locally higher
  amounts will be possible in the higher terrain of eastern
  Ashland County.

* WINDS...North 15 to 20 mph with gusts up to 25 mph.

* VISIBILITIES...Less than one half mile in the heavier snow.

* IMPACTS...The heavy snow will create snow covered roads and
  produce scattered power outages.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A winter weather advisory for snow means that accumulating snow
will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow covered
roads and reduced visibility...and use caution while driving.
Allow extra time to reach your destination.
