AND SOUTH CENTRAL NEW MEXICO THROUGH SATURDAY EVENING...

.A SLOW MOVING WINTER STORM SYSTEM WILL DELIVER SNOWFALL TO
THE HIGHER ELEVATIONS IN THE GILA REGION AND SACRAMENTO MOUNTAINS
THROUGH SATURDAY NIGHT. 4 TO 8 INCHES OF SNOWFALL IS EXPECTED
ACROSS HIGHEST ELEVATIONS IN THE GILA REGION AND SACRAMENTO
MOUNTAINS. MOST LOCATIONS BETWEEN 7000 AND 8000 FEET IN THESE
AREAS WILL ONLY SEE 1 TO 4 INCHES OF SNOWFALL.

* SNOW ACCUMULATION: 4 TO 8 INCHES OF SNOW OVER ELEVATIONS ABOVE 8000
  FEET. 1 TO 4 INCHES ARE EXPECTED BETWEEN 7000 AND 8000 FEET.

* TIMING: SNOW IS EXPECTED TO CONTINUE OVERNIGHT AND END AS LATE AS
  OVERNIGHT SATURDAY.

* IMPACT: HEAVY WET SNOW WILL ACCUMULATE AT HIGHER ELEVATIONS...
  MAKING TRAVEL DIFFICULT OVER MOUNTAIN PASSES. REDUCED
  VISIBILITIES ARE ALSO POSSIBLE IN HEAVY SNOW OR FOG. AS SNOW
  LEVELS FALL OVERNIGHT...ROADS AT HIGH ELEVATIONS WILL BECOME ICY
  AND SNOW PACKED.

* WINDS: SOUTHEAST 10 TO 20 MPH BECOMING WEST BY SATURDAY
  AFTERNOON.

* SNOW LEVELS: MODERATE TO HEAVY SNOW SHOWERS WILL INITIALLY
  BEGIN ABOVE 8000 FEET...FALLING AS LOW AS 7000 FEET AT TIMES
  DURING THE OVERNIGHT HOURS IN HEAVIER SNOW BANDS.
