...FLOOD WATCH FOR AN ICE JAM IN EFFECT THROUGH THURSDAY MORNING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by an ice jam is possible.

* WHERE...Along the Tanana River from 3 miles down stream of Manley
  Hot Springs

* WHEN...Through Thursday morning.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
  creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.

Be prepared for fluctuating water levels and flooding as the ice jam
moves downriver. It is possible for the current jam to degrade and
to reform further downstream.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - An ice jam has formed ~3 miles downstream of Manley and is
    causing minor flooding at the community park along the
    slough. As of midday Wednesday, the River Watch team reports
    that this jam does not appear to be strong. However, ice is
    still in place and looks strong at the jam point which caused
    flooding in 2022. There is not significant ice upstream of
    Manley.
