...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTHEASTERN CUMBERLAND...WEST
CENTRAL GOOCHLAND AND SOUTHERN FLUVANNA COUNTIES THROUGH 730 PM
EDT...

At 649 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Fork Union, moving southeast at 30 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down small trees and blow around
         unsecured objects. Wind impacting handling of high profile
         vehicles. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible.

This strong thunderstorm will be near...
  Fork Union around 655 PM EDT.
  Columbia, Duncan, and Lakeside Village around 710 PM EDT.

Other locations impacted by this storm include Dixie, Stage Junction,
Shores, Central Plains, Bremo Bluff, Antioch, Elk Hill, Cohasset,
Whiteville, and Hardware.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 1000 PM EDT for
central Virginia.
