Stray early morning showers will wane, but showers will start to regenerate as soon as late morning. Shower and thunderstorm chances increase through the afternoon into early evening. Most of the showers will be south of a line from Traverse City to Alpena. To the north, no precipitation is expected. Rain chances gradually diminish through tonight.
