...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTHWESTERN OTSEGO AND EAST
CENTRAL CHENANGO COUNTIES THROUGH 330 PM EDT...

At 255 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Gilbertsville, or 8 miles east of Norwich, moving east at 30 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Oneonta, New Lisbon, Morris, Gilbertsville, West End, Lathams
Corners, Holmesville, and South New Berlin.

This includes the following highway exits...
 Interstate 88 near 13.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Heavy rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

To report severe weather, contact your nearest law enforcement
agency. They will relay your report to the National Weather Service
office in Binghamton.
