...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Oregon...

  Owyhee River Below Owyhee Dam affecting Malheur County.

.Snow melt and increased reservoir releases will cause the river
flows to remain high. Expect minor flooding downstream from the dam.

For the Owyhee River...including Owyhee Dam, Owyhee Dam...Moderate
flooding is forecast.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

The next statement will be issued midday Friday.Friday afternoon at
noon MDT /1100 AM PDT/.

...FLOOD WARNING FOR A DAM FLOODGATE RELEASE NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL
EARLY WEDNESDAY MORNING...

* WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is
  forecast.

* WHERE...Owyhee River below Owyhee Dam.

* WHEN...Until early Wednesday morning.

* IMPACTS...At 6,000 cfs, Significant field flooding will occur near
  the river from the mouth of the canyon to the confluence with the
  Snake River. Water will begin to flow across Overstreet Road near
  the bridge crossing.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 8:30 PM MDT Thursday /7:30 PM PDT Thursday/ the flow was
    6,660 cfs.
  - Bankfull is 1,000 cfs.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river flow in the 24 hours
    ending at 8:30 PM MDT Thursday /7:30 PM PDT Thursday/ was
    8,047 cfs.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
    late Tuesday evening and continue falling to 1,176.5 cfs
    Sunday, April 21.
  - Flood flow is 3,000 cfs.
  - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
    7,820 cfs on 04/03/1989.
