...Strong thunderstorms will impact portions of Edwards and east
central Val Verde Counties through 115 AM CDT...

At 1212 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 24 miles north of Carta Valley to 9 miles
southwest of Loma Alta. Movement was east at 25 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and nickel size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Rocksprings, Loma Alta, Carta Valley, Devil`s Sinkhole State Natural
Area, Vinegarone, and Devils River State Nat Area Del Norte.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

These storms may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 200 AM CDT for
south central Texas.
