The National Weather Service in Peachtree City has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  Southwestern Walker County in northwestern Georgia...
  Northern Chattooga County in northwestern Georgia...

* Until 215 AM EDT.

* At 125 AM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Mentone, or
  13 miles northeast of Fort Payne, moving east at 35 mph.

  HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage
           to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include...
  Summerville, Trion, Center Post, Subligna, and Suttles Mill.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

If you see wind damage...hail or flooding...wait until the storm has
passed...and then call the National Weather Service toll free
