Two rounds of scattered showers and thunderstorms are possible today, with the first round between 9 AM - 11 AM, and the second round possibly starting as early as 1 PM, but most likely after 2 PM. While it appears unlikely with the first round of thunderstorms, can`t rule out a strong to severe storm producing hail to the size of quarters. Rainfall amounts look to remain light, with amoutns under a tenth of an inch expected. The second round of thunderstorms will have chances for producing large 2 inch hail, along with strong damaging wind gusts to 70 mph. This round could produce rainfall amounts up to half an inch, possibly more if a couple storms move over the same location. Aside from storm chances, winds this morning will start out from the southeast, becoming breezy as they transition towards a southerly direction by the late morning hours with gusts 25 to 30 mph. This should allow for improving smoke dispersal throughout the morning hours. A cold frontal passage will move through the area during the mid-afternoon hours, swinging winds around to become out of the west- northwest. .REST OF TODAY... Max temperature.....Around 73.
