...ELEVATED FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS THIS AFTERNOON AND EARLY EVENING...

Mild temperatures, low humidity, and northwest winds gusting to
20 to 25 mph will lead to elevated fire weather conditions this
afternoon and early evening.

Although north central and far northeast Wisconsin saw some rain
late last night, conditions are expected to dry out enough this
afternoon to support wildfires.

Persons are urged to be careful with any activities that could
potentially lead to a wildland fire. Campfires, outdoor grills,
smoking materials, chain saws, and all-terrain vehicles all have
the potential to throw a spark and ignite a fire. Burning bans
are in effect across most of the area, so be sure to heed any
restrictions that are in place in your county.

...NEAR-CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS THIS AFTERNOON AND EARLY
EVENING...

Warm temperatures, low humidity, and northwest winds gusting to
20 to 25 mph will lead to near critical fire weather conditions
this afternoon and early evening. The worst conditions are
expected from central Wisconsin into the western Fox Valley.

Persons are urged to be careful with any activities that could
potentially lead to a wildland fire. Campfires, outdoor grills,
smoking materials, chain saws, and all-terrain vehicles all have
the potential to throw a spark and ignite a dangerous and
destructive fire. Burning bans are in effect across most of the
area, so be sure to heed any restrictions that are in place in
your county.
