  LAKE MICHIGAN MICHIGAN CITY IN TO ST. JOSEPH MI 5 NM OFFSHORE TO
  MID-LINE OF LAKE....
  MICHIGAN CITY IN TO NEW BUFFALO MI...
  NEW BUFFALO MI TO ST JOSEPH MI...

AT 1040 PM EDT...DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A STRONG THUNDERSTORM...
CAPABLE OF PRODUCING WINDS TO AROUND 30 KNOTS. THIS THUNDERSTORM WAS
LOCATED 7 NM SOUTHWEST OF MICHIGAN CITY...MOVING NORTHEAST AT 35
KNOTS.

THE STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL BE NEAR...
  THE ST. JOSEPH LIGHT AROUND 1145 PM EDT.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

MARINERS CAN EXPECT GUSTY WINDS TO AROUND 30 KNOTS...LOCALLY HIGHER
WAVES...AND LIGHTNING STRIKES. BOATERS SHOULD SEEK SAFE HARBOR
IMMEDIATELY UNTIL THIS STORM PASSES.

INTENSE LIGHTNING IS OCCURRING WITH THIS STORM. IF CAUGHT ON THE OPEN
WATER STAY BELOW DECK IF POSSIBLE...KEEP AWAY FROM UNGROUNDED METAL
OBJECTS.
