  NEW BUFFALO MI TO ST JOSEPH MI...
  MICHIGAN CITY IN TO NEW BUFFALO MI...
  LAKE MICHIGAN MICHIGAN CITY IN TO ST. JOSEPH MI 5 NM OFF SHORE TO
  MID LAKE...

AT 1255 PM EDT...DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A THUNDERSTORM CAPABLE OF
PRODUCING WIND GUSTS OF 20 TO 30 KNOTS...15 NM NORTHWEST OF NEW
BUFFALO...MOVING EAST AT 45 KNOTS.

IF THIS THUNDERSTORM HOLDS TOGETHER...IT WILL REACH THE NEARSHORE
WATERS FROM NEW BUFFALO MI TO ST JOSEPH MI AROUND 130 PM EDT.

ADDITIONAL THUNDERSTORMS WILL CONTINUE TO EXPAND IN COVERAGE ALONG A
LINE FROM CALUMET HARBOR IL TO SOUTH HAVEN MI THROUGH MID
AFTERNOON. THESE THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED TO EVENTUALLY SAG
SOUTHEASTWARD ACROSS SOUTHERN LAKE MICHIGAN LATER THIS AFTERNOON.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

MARINERS CAN EXPECT GUSTY WINDS UP TO 30 KNOTS...LOCALLY HIGHER
WAVES... AND LIGHTNING STRIKES. BOATERS SHOULD CONSIDER SEEKING SAFE
HARBOR UNTIL THIS STORM PASSES.
