Open Lake Forecast for Lake Erie
National Weather Service Cleveland OH
344 PM EDT Sun Apr 21 2024

For waters beyond five nautical miles of shore on Lake Erie

Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest
1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the average of
the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.SYNOPSIS...
A ridge averaging 30.20 inches builds eastward across Lake Erie
through Monday. However, a weakening cold front should sweep
southeastward across Lake Erie tonight before dissipating just
south and east of the lake by daybreak Monday. The ridge exits
eastward on Tuesday as low pressure of 29.50 inches moves from the
Upper Great Lakes to southern Quebec and vicinity through
Wednesday. The low track will allow the trailing cold front to
sweep eastward across Lake Erie Tuesday night. Behind the front,
another ridge averaging 30.40 inches builds from the Upper Midwest
through Thursday. The ridge exits eastward on Friday as a warm
front approaches Lake Erie from the Ozarks and Tennessee Valley.
