...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTHWESTERN NYE COUNTY THROUGH
615 PM PDT...

At 535 PM PDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 24
miles southwest of Kingston, moving southeast at 25 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph, moderate rain and possibly pea
         size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Storms are passing over the Reese River Valley area in NW
Nye county. These storms are expected to produce rain and
possibly small hail that could make its way into the Reese
River in the Yomba Tribal Council area. The Reese River
currently has a high flow in this area, with the concern
being that any additional rain or runoff of rain from the
nearby mountains could increase the flow on the Reese
River, which may impact the bridge near Yomba Tribal
         Council along NF-118.

Locations impacted include...
Berlin Ichthyosaur SP, Reese River Valley, Ione, and Arc Dome.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
