FOR WATERS BEYOND FIVE NAUTICAL MILES OF SHORE ON Lake Michigan.

Waves are provided as a range of significant wave heights, which
is the average of the highest 1/3 of the wave, along with the
average height of the highest 10% of the waves which will
occasionally be encountered.

.SYNOPSIS...

Gusty south-southeast winds will prevail through Tuesday afternoon
as a 29.2 inch low pressure center progresses from the Central
Plains toward Lake Superior. Gales are expected across the open
waters from late tonight through mid-afternoon Tuesday as low
pressure makes its closest pass to Lake Michigan. A Gale Warning
is in effect between 1 AM and 4 PM CDT Tuesday for the entirety
of the lake. Winds will shift out of the southwest and diminish
late Tuesday afternoon as a cold front crosses Lake Michigan.
Winds shift westerly Tuesday night after the frontal passage.
Periods of rain are expected through Tuesday evening, with
isolated thunderstorms possible over the southern open waters from
predawn through early afternoon on Tuesday.
