Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Central Kentucky and Southern Indiana
National Weather Service Louisville KY
326 PM EDT Thu Mar 28 2024

.DISCUSSION... High pressure over the region will lead to
continued dry conditions and clear skies. In the overnight hours,
high pressure will slowly shift to the southeast of the region,
which will allow for southwesterly flow to return to the Ohio
Valley. Friday, ample atmospheric mixing up to 6000-7000 feet will
bring dry air down to the surface. Minimum relative humidity will
be in the 20-25% range and winds will gust up to 25 mph. By the
afternoon Friday, smoke dispersion will be excellent. Over the
weekend, several systems will move through the Ohio Valley
bringing increased showers and storms.
