954 FLUS44 KLUB 271139 HWOLUB Hazardous Weather Outlook National Weather Service Lubbock TX 639 AM CDT Sat Apr 27 2024 TXZ021>044-281145- Parmer-Castro-Swisher-Briscoe-Hall-Childress-Bailey-Lamb-Hale-Floyd- Motley-Cottle-Cochran-Hockley-Lubbock-Crosby-Dickens-King-Yoakum- Terry-Lynn-Garza-Kent-Stonewall- 639 AM CDT Sat Apr 27 2024 This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for the South Plains, Rolling Plains, and the far Southern Texas Panhandle. .DAY ONE...Today and tonight. Scattered thunderstorms are expected this morning mainly off the Caprock. Some storms may become severe with hail up to baseball size, and a tornado or two is also possible. A Tornado Watch is in effect for the Rolling Plains and the far southeast Texas Panhandle until 1 PM. Critical fire weather conditions are expected over the western South Plains and far southwest Texas Panhandle this afternoon. A Red Flag Warning is in effect for this area from 1 PM until 8 PM. A Rangeland Fire Danger Statement is also in effect for the I-27 corridor. Additional severe thunderstorms are possible this afternoon and evening across the Rolling Plains and far southeast Texas Panhandle. Large hail to the size of baseballs, wind gusts to 70 mph, and a tornado or two will be possible with this activity. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday.
