334 FLUS44 KLUB 271859 HWOLUB Hazardous Weather Outlook National Weather Service Lubbock TX 159 PM CDT Sat Apr 27 2024 TXZ021>044-281900- Parmer-Castro-Swisher-Briscoe-Hall-Childress-Bailey-Lamb-Hale-Floyd- Motley-Cottle-Cochran-Hockley-Lubbock-Crosby-Dickens-King-Yoakum- Terry-Lynn-Garza-Kent-Stonewall- 159 PM CDT Sat Apr 27 2024 This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for the South Plains, Rolling Plains, and the far Southern Texas Panhandle. .DAY ONE...This afternoon and tonight. Scattered thunderstorms are expected to persist into this afternoon across the Rolling Plains. Some storms may become severe with hail up to walnut size, and a tornado or two is also possible. Critical fire weather conditions are expected over the western South Plains and far southwest Texas Panhandle this afternoon. A Red Flag Warning is in effect for this area from 1 PM until 8 PM. A Rangeland Fire Danger Statement is also in effect for the I-27 corridor. Additional severe thunderstorms are possible this evening across the Rolling Plains and far southeast Texas Panhandle. Large hail to the size of walnuts, wind gusts to 70 mph, and a tornado or two will be possible with this activity. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday.
