...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTHERN ITAWAMBA AND
NORTHEASTERN MONROE COUNTIES THROUGH 700 PM CDT...

At 625 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Smithville, or 8 miles northeast of Amory, moving east at 25 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and nickel size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Amory, Smithville, New Salem, Cardsville, Turon, Tilden, Jacinto,
Parham, and Cadamy.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 800 PM CDT for
northeastern Mississippi.
