...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 8 PM THIS EVENING TO
5 AM PDT SUNDAY ABOVE 4000 FEET...
* WHAT...Snow above 4000 feet. Total snow accumulations of 4 to
10 inches between 4000 and 6000 feet. Winds gusting as high as
45 mph.
* WHERE...Western and south-central Siskiyou County above 4000
feet. This includes Snowman`s Hill Summit on Highway 89 and Etna
Summit on Sawyers Bar Rd.
* WHEN...From 8 PM this evening to 11 PM PDT Saturday.
* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult to impossible.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snow levels will lower down to 3500 feet
Sunday morning in the Mt. Shasta area, and light snow
accumulations along I-5 between Dunsmuir and Weed is possible.
Snow accumulation will mainly be off paved surfaces with snow
melting as it hits roadways, but this will still create slippery
conditions, including with freezing temperatures as snow tapers
off early Sunday morning.
