Near Peachtree in Cherokee County North Carolina...

The National Weather Service office in Morristown TN will conduct
a storm survey today for the area near Peachtree in
Cherokee County North Carolina. The survey is in relation to the
severe thunderstorms that moved through the area yesterday, May 8 2024.

A final assessment including results of the survey are expected
to be completed and transmitted via a Public Information
Statement by the late afternoon today.

The storm survey information will also be available on our
website at https://www.weather.gov/mrx
