West central North Atlantic continental shelf and slope waters
beyond 20 nm to 250 nm offshore, including south of Georges Bank
from 1000 fm to 250 nm offshore.

Conditions given represent the highest within that period.

Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average
height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

Locally higher winds and seas can be expected in and near tstms.

.SYNOPSIS FOR MID ATLC WATERS...A complex intensifying low
pressure system to the NW of Bermuda will remain nearly
stationary just E of the waters today, and then begin to slowly
weaken tonight into Tue night as it moves off to the SE. Mariners
should execute avoidance plans as a prolonged period of gale to
storm force winds and building seas is expected, with a chance
for hurricane force winds mainly near the north wall of the Gulf
Stream today. A weakening high pressure ridge will move E over
the waters Wed, then dissipate Wed night as a cold front moves E
over the area. Another intensifying low will develop along the
front just off the SE coast Wed night, then track E and NE across
the waters Thu through Fri while pulling a cold front over the
area. A secondary cold front move S across the area Fri night
while high pressure builds over the southern waters.
