...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTHWESTERN GRANT...SOUTHERN
NATCHITOCHES AND SOUTHWESTERN WINN PARISHES THROUGH 1115 PM CDT...

At 1045 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 12
miles north of Hutton, or 15 miles south of Natchitoches, moving
northeast at 45 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Natchitoches, Colfax, Montgomery, Provencal, Natchez, Clarence,
Robeline, Cloutierville, Melrose, Grand Ecore, Bellwood, Chopin, St.
Maurice, Flora, Cypress, Bermuda, Aloha, Gorum, and Hagewood.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 100 AM CDT for north central
and northwestern Louisiana.
