NORTHEASTERN TOM GREEN AND SOUTHWESTERN RUNNELS COUNTIES THROUGH 1000 PM CDT... At 910 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over western San Angelo, moving northeast at 30 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... San Angelo, Miles, Carlsbad, Orient, San Angelo State Park, O.C. Fisher Reservoir, Lake Nasworthy, Grape Creek, Goodfellow Air Force Base, and Harriet. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways. This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio stations and available television stations for additional information and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
