Relayed by the National Weather Service Rapid City SD
344 AM MST Sat Feb 17 2018

...BLOWING DUST HEALTH ALERT IN EFFECT FOR THE POWDER RIVER BASIN OF
NORTHEASTERN WYOMING FROM 600 PM THIS EVENING UNTIL 600 AM SUNDAY
MORNING...

Southwesterly winds will increase early this evening and continue
through late tonight. Sustained wind speeds of 20 to 35 mph and
gusts to 50 mph can be expected. The strongest winds will be across
central and southern portions of Campbell County. Wind speeds will
decrease early Sunday morning.

The Wyoming Air Quality Division recommends the elderly, young
children, and individuals with respiratory problems avoid
excessive physical exertion and minimize outdoor activities during
this time. Although these people are most susceptible to health
impacts, the air quality division also advises that everyone
should avoid prolonged exposure to the poor air quality
conditions.
