.SYNOPSIS FOR THE MIDDLE TEXAS COASTAL WATERS...
A moderate to strong southerly flow this morning will decrease through
late morning ahead of a strong cold front. The cold front will
move across the bays and Coastal Waters this evening, with strong
offshore flow expected behind it. Small craft advisory conditions
are expected this evening for the bays and coastal waters, then
frequent gusts to gale force will develop by mid evening over the
Gulf Waters where a Gale Warning is in effect for tonight.
Offshore flow will begin to decrease on Sunday. Weak to moderate
northeast flow Sunday night. Generally weak onshore flow
anticipated Monday and Tuesday. Isolated showers anticipated
Monday night in response to a weak coastal trough. Moderate
northeast then north wind will develop Tuesday night and Wednesday
as a surge of surface high pressure moves across the Waters.
Additional isolated showers Tuesday in response to the surge of
surface high pressure and the associated upper level disturbance.
