Generalized Statewide Coastal Waters Forecast for Hawaii

.Synopsis for Hawaiian coastal waters...
A ridge of high pressure north of the islands will strengthen over the
next day or two, resulting in a boost in the trades. Over the weekend,
the trades will become light and southerly as a front approaches the
islands from the northwest.

Hawaiian waters within 40 nautical miles including the channels-


.REST OF TODAY AND TONIGHT...Northeast winds 10 to 20 knots. Wind
waves 3 to 4 feet. Northwest swell 3 feet. Isolated showers.
.WEDNESDAY AND WEDNESDAY NIGHT...East winds 15 to 20 knots. Wind
waves 3 to 5 feet. Northwest swell 3 feet. Scattered showers.
.THURSDAY AND THURSDAY NIGHT...East winds 15 to 25 knots. Wind
waves 4 to 6 feet. Northwest swell 3 feet. Scattered showers.
.FRIDAY...East winds 10 to 20 knots. Wind waves 3 to 5 feet.
Northwest swell 3 feet. Scattered showers.
.SATURDAY...Southeast winds 10 to 15 knots. Wind waves 3 to
4 feet. Northwest swell 3 feet. Haze. Isolated showers.
