...Localized flooding possible through weekend..

Creeks and streams that cross the lower Kittitas Valley will
continue to run high and fast through the weekend, especially
Naneum and Mercer Creeks in Ellensburg. There may be some local
area of flooding along these creeks through Ellensburg.

The higher water levels are due to heavy rain over the last couple
of days, melting snow, and low demand for water. Cooler
temperatures are expected to slow the snowmelt and drier
conditions are expected through Sunday.
