...FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT FROM THURSDAY MORNING THROUGH FRIDAY
AFTERNOON...

The National Weather Service in Boise has issued a

* Flood Watch for a portion of south central Idaho, including the
following area, the Big Wood River in Gooding County of the
  Western Magic Valley.

* from Thursday morning through Friday afternoon.

* Increasing outflow from Magic Reservoir due to rain and snowmelt.

* Snowmelt combined with rainfall has caused water to begin
flowing over the Magic Dam spillway. This will significantly
increase flows on the Big Wood River downstream in Gooding
  County beginning Thursday.

* River flows below Magic Dam are expected to rise to near 5000
CFS late Wednesday night. At flows of 5300 CFS below Magic Dam,
floodwaters will spread downstream along the Big Wood River and
impact Gooding County. River levels will be about 1 foot below
the surface of Highway 46 Bridge north of Gooding at these
flows. Minor flooding will occur upstream from the bridge.
Travel time of floodwaters from Magic Dam to Gooding is about 24
  hours.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Flood Watch means there is a potential for flooding based on
current forecasts.

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible
Flood Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be
prepared to take action should flooding develop.
