EXTREME SOUTHEASTERN COOS...NORTHWESTERN CUMBERLAND...NORTHEASTERN
CARROLL AND SOUTHERN OXFORD COUNTIES...

AT 805 PM EDT...A THUNDERSTORM PRODUCING VERY HEAVY RAIN WAS REPORTED
OVER THE WARNED AREA. RIVERS AND STREAMS WILL CONTINUE TO RISE
RAPIDLY FOR THE NEXT SEVERAL HOURS.

LOCATIONS IN THE WARNING INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO WATERFORD

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE
DANGERS OF FLOODING. IF FLASH FLOODING IS OBSERVED ACT QUICKLY. MOVE
UP TO HIGHER GROUND TO ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS. DO NOT STAY IN AREAS
SUBJECT TO FLOODING WHEN WATER BEGINS RISING.

FLOODING IS OCCURRING OR IS IMMINENT. IT IS IMPORTANT TO KNOW WHERE
YOU ARE RELATIVE TO STREAMS...RIVERS...OR CREEKS WHICH CAN BECOME
KILLERS IN HEAVY RAINS. CAMPERS AND HIKERS SHOULD AVOID STREAMS OR
CREEKS.

A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 900 PM EDT MONDAY
EVENING FOR SOUTHWESTERN MAINE.
