CLAY COUNTY...

AT 1137 PM CDT...TRAINED WEATHER SPOTTERS REPORTED EXTENSIVE
SECONDARY ROAD FLOODING WITH WATER OVER HIGHWAY 45 SOUTH OF
FLORA. ALTHOUGH THE RAINFALL RATES HAVE DECREASED CONSIDERABLY
ACROSS THE AREA FROM A FEW HOURS AGO...ADDITIONAL RAINFALL
CONTINUES TO FALL OVER CLAY COUNTY AND THE FLASH FLOOD THREAT
CONTINUES.

SOME LOCATIONS THAT WILL EXPERIENCE FLOODING INCLUDE...
FLORA...LOUISVILLE...CLAY CITY...XENIA...BIBLE GROVE...INGRAHAM...
IOLA AND SAILOR SPRINGS.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE
DANGERS OF FLOODING.

TURN AROUND...DONT DROWN WHEN ENCOUNTERING FLOODED ROADS. MOST FLOOD
DEATHS OCCUR IN VEHICLES.
