...THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 500 PM CDT FOR
WEST CENTRAL PECOS...SOUTH CENTRAL REEVES AND EAST CENTRAL JEFF DAVIS
COUNTIES...

At 403 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated that thunderstorms had moved
out of the area, though runoff from heavy rainfall will maintain the
flash flooding threat this afternoon. Additional thunderstorms are
possible in this area through early this evening.

Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Balmorhea Lake, Balmorhea State Park, Toyahvale and Star Mountain.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are
potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded
roads. Find an alternate route.

Please report flooding to your local law enforcement agency when you
can do so safely.
