...THE FLOOD ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 630 PM HST FOR THE
ISLAND OF OAHU IN HONOLULU COUNTY...

At 410 PM HST...radar indicated heavy rain across coastal portions
of windward oahu, affecting communities between Kaneohe and Laie.
Additional heavy rain is over the Koolau mountains between Pearl
City and Kahaluu. Rainfall rates in these showers will be between
one and two inches per hour, and will also affect Kamehameha Highway
on windward Oahu. Meanwhile, showers have all but ended over leeward
and northern Oahu, but ponding from earlier rainfall continues.

Locations in the advisory include but are not limited to...
Ahuimanu, Punaluu, Waiahole, Waikane, Kahaluu, Hauula and Kaneohe.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Stay away from streams, drainage ditches and low lying areas prone to
flooding.

Rainfall and runoff will also cause hazardous driving conditions due
to ponding, reduced visibility and poor braking action.

Do not cross fast flowing or rising water in your vehicle, or on
foot. Turn around, don`t drown.
